The Newest Member of the MPRI Team

Vida Nazemian has come to us with 9 years of experience in pain research, showing her excellence in the study of neuroinflammation and inflammatory pain, including Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. She has experience in cellular/molecular biology and has collaborated widely with research scientists and clinicians in the past in order to bring a multidisciplinary approach to her research.

Vida will be taking on the role of Clinical Research Coordinator while she completes the final month of her PhD in Neuroscience at the School of Biomedical Sciences at The University of Melbourne, then will commence as our Research Fellow. The aim of her PhD project is to develop a rat pain model of osteoarthritis in joints and bones, in order to explore histopathological changes and investigate the expression of neurotrophic factors in early vs late-stage osteoarthritis.

At MPRI, we believe in the power of collaboration and the importance of working together to tackle chronic pain. We’re very excited to have Vida on board, as she takes on a wide spectrum of responsibilities in our clinical trials, and very much look forward to what we’ll be able to accomplish with her as a part of the team.
